Geburtstag von Phillip. Ach ist das doch wieder mal ein Zufall.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Heute konnten wir endlich mit dem Versteckspiel aufh\u00f6ren und sogleich sendeten wir unser kleines Video Phillip. Ganz ungeduldig warteten wir auf seine Reaktion. Diese fiel dann zuerst etwas n\u00fcchtern, mit einem &#8222;Danke euch&#8220;, aus. Claudia fragte nochmals nach, ob ihm denn nichts in dem Video aufgefallen w\u00e4re. Er meinte nur, &#8222;Nein&#8220;. So griffen wir zum Telefon und riefen ihn an. Wir sagten &#8222;Guten Morgen Phillip&#8220; und irgendwann begriff er wohl, dass wir es nicht 6 Stunden sp\u00e4ter, sondern 3h eher hatten&#8230;.. Die \u00dcberraschung war gegl\u00fcckt. Jetzt lassen wir ihn aber erst einmal feiern und besprechen alles weitere in den n\u00e4chsten Tagen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nach diesem aufregendem Moment nutzten wir einen ausgedehnten Spaziergang um wieder etwas &#8222;runter zu kommen&#8220;. Nach unserer Abfahrt in Long Beach fuhren wir zuerst bei k\u00fchlem Wetter nach Astoria. Hier m\u00fcndet der Columbia River in den Pazifik. Wir erreichten die Stadt \u00fcber eine entsprechend lange Br\u00fccke. Da das Wetter nicht so besonders und zudem, wie schon erw\u00e4hnt, es etwas k\u00fchl war, so fuhren wir ohne eine kleine Stadtbesichtigung auf unserer Route weiter s\u00fcdw\u00e4rts. Links und rechts der Stra\u00dfe s\u00e4umten von nun an diverse Einkaufscenter und Gesch\u00e4fte den Weg. In einer Pharmacy, \u00e4hnlich unserem M\u00fcller, erstanden wir das von einem Kollegen empfohlene Melatonin. Dieses sollte in Bezug auf Schlafst\u00f6rungen Wunder wirken. In einem Outlet suchte Claudia mal wieder etwas f\u00fcr sich. Es blieb aber diesmal beim Suchen&#8230;. Nun ja, wir sollten im weiteren Verlauf der Reise noch weitere Outlets besuchen werden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Unser n\u00e4chster Zwischenstopp am Pazifik war Cannonball Beach. Den Namen verdankt dieses h\u00fcbsche kleine \u00d6rtchen den im Meer emporragenden kugel\u00e4hnlichen Felsen. Einen Spaziergang und Kaffeegenuss sp\u00e4ter verliessen wir diese, vor allem von Hundefreunden belagerte Ortschaft, gen Osten.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class='photonic-google-stream photonic-stream ' id='photonic-google-stream-1'>\n\r\n<div class='photonic-error photonic-google-error' id='photonic-google-error-1'>\r\n\t<span class='photonic-error-icon photonic-icon'>&nbsp;<\/span>\r\n\t<div class='photonic-message'>\r\n\t\tFailed to get data. Error:<br \/><code>\nRequest had insufficient authentication scopes.<\/code><br \/>\n\r\n\t<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\n\n<\/div><!-- .photonic-stream or .photonic-panel -->\n\n\n\n<p>Von nun an f\u00fchrte uns der Weg auf gerader Linie Richtung Portland. Die Stadt und das Motel erreichten wir gegen 17 Uhr. Das Motel sollte f\u00fcr die n\u00e4chsten 2 Tage unser zu Hause sein und wir h\u00e4tten es sicher schlechter treffen k\u00f6nnen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Da es noch nicht so sp\u00e4t war, also beschlossen wir, spontan wie wir nun einmal sind, Portland direkt noch anzusehen. Gegen\u00fcber vom Motel befand sich eine Bushaltestelle und auf ging es. Zu unserem Erstaunen hatten wir eine ganz spezielle Chauffeurin. Nicht nur dass diese uns, im Nachhinein betrachtet, eine Fahrt schenkte, nein sie unterhielt uns auch auf ihre am\u00fcsante und teils bizzare Weise, durch Kommentare des Verkehrs zum Besipiel. Am liebsten schien sie aber mit sich selbst zu reden. Irgendwie crazy. Na das kann ja hier lustig werden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Downtown angekommen machten wir Bekanntschaft mit der Lebensart einer amerikanischen Gro\u00dfstadt zu Einbruch der Dunkelheit. Alles lebt und ist in Bewegung. Wir liefen zuerst Richtung Columbia River und dort an der Water Front entlang. Einfach herrlich dieser Ausblick und tolle Fotomotive&nbsp; zudem. Auf unserem kleinen Rundweg nochmals bei einem H&amp;M vorbei, und nein es gab wieder nichts f\u00fcr Claudia.. Da wir mittlerweile auch etwas Hunger hatten, so suchten wir uns etwas &#8222;Kleines&#8220;. Ein Mexikaner sollte es werden. \u00c4hnlich wie bei Mc Donalds gibt es hier Burritos und diverses anderes mexikanisches Fastfood. Mir hat es geschmeckt.
